Résumé

The Data Security Administrator certification course equips system administrators with the expertise to effectively configure, manage, and administer core products within Proofpoint’s Data Security & Posture platform. These products include Endpoint DLP, Insider Threat Management (ITM), and Cloud App Security Broker (CASB).


 

This course focuses on key skills such as configuration, customization, and day-to-day management, enabling administrators to defend data and detect risky behavior. This course provides hands-on experience within a classroom-lab environment to hone the data security administrator’s skill set and effectively create policies to address common use cases.

Platform Overview: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Identify the components of Proofpoint’s Data Security & Posture platform

  • Navigate the Data Security Workbench

  • Create, edit, and manage explorations, alerts, and reports


User Management: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Configure your Identity Provider

  • Add, edit, and assign permissions to user accounts

  • Audit console user activities


ITM Agent Realm Configuration: In this module, you will learn how to:

 

  • Explain the features of Endpoint DLP and ITM

  • Identify the components of ITM SaaS

  • Configure agent realms


ITM Agent Deployment: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Install the ITM agent on endpoints

  • Install and configure the ITM agent updater on endpoints


ITM Agent Policy Configuration: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Identify which features are controlled through agent policies

  • Configure effective agent policies

  • Assign agent policies to your agent realms


 

Data Classification Application: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Identify the purpose and tools of the Data Classification Application

  • Create effective and efficient data detectors and detector sets

  • Create and apply data snippet masking policies


Endpoint Content Scanning: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Identify types of content that can be scanned for sensitive data

  • Enable content scanning on an agent realm


ITM and Endpoint Rules and Conditions: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Identify when to use detection, prevention, and endpoint rules

  • Create, edit, and apply rules and rule sets

  • Evaluate and fine-tune rules to better fit specific use cases


Notification Policies: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Identify types of end-user notifications available through Data Security & Posture

  • Create and apply notification policies

  • Create exploration subscriptions
     

Data Security Workbench Customizations: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Customize options for workflow status and tags

  • Display, edit, delete, share, and tag an exploration

  • Navigate and customize the elements in the Data Security Workbench’s My Dashboard and the Cloud Apps Dashboard


CASB Setup: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Configure cloud providers

  • Explain access rules, data rules, app governance rules, and configuration and security posture rules

  • Configure policies to match specific use cases


Tuning CASB Performance: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Address potential notification and remediation delays with rules


Staying Current: In this module, you will learn how to:

  • Identify resources that can be used to stay current on product and service updates

  • Access in-product documentation, Knowledge Base (KB) articles, and customer support

Moyens Pédagogiques

  • Quiz pré-formation de vérification des connaissances (si applicable)

  • Réalisation de la formation par un formateur agréé par l’éditeur

  • Formation réalisable en présentiel ou en distanciel

  • Mise à disposition de labs distants/plateforme de lab pour chacun des participants (si applicable à la formation)

  • Distribution de supports de cours officiels en langue anglaise pour chacun des participants

    • Il est nécessaire d'avoir une connaissance de l'anglais technique écrit pour la compréhension des supports de cours

Moyens d'évaluation

  • Quiz pré-formation de vérification des connaissances (si applicable)

  • Évaluations formatives pendant la formation, à travers les travaux pratiques réalisés sur les labs à l’issue de chaque module, QCM, mises en situation…

  • Complétion par chaque participant d’un questionnaire et/ou questionnaire de positionnement en amont et à l’issue de la formation pour validation de l’acquisition des compétences
